Makerspace
The Makerspace is made up several different spaces which are designed to be multiuser member’s spaces. We’ve already got lots of cool equipment including:
- a range of work benches in the wood workshop
- creative tools for woodwork, electricals and metalwork
- clicker press and lots of dies
- a textile room with sewing, embroidery and heat press machines
- kiln, pottery wheel, drying racks and tools
- marvellous machines from circular saws to laser-cutters and a CNC machine
- Plastic shredder, extruder and moulds for making all sorts of cool recycled things.
- Computers, vinyl cutter, laminator and 3D printers.
Membership is £40 per person and £60 per couple living at the same address.

BECOME A MEMBER

To become a Makerspace Member and use the Makerspace follow these steps:
TOUR THE MAKERSPACE
Click here to book a place on an upcoming tour to familiarise yourself with the space and see all our amazing resources!
Once you have completed the tour you will receive a code to book your induction.
This step can be completed before you become a member if you would like to check everything out first.
COMPLETE AN INDUCTION
Book your Induction, dates will be available to book here.
The induction will take you through how everything works here, policies, safety, the equipment classification system, where to go if you have questions, etc.
When you have completed the Induction you will receive your key fob!
ACCESS THE SPACE
Now you have your key fob you can use the Makerspace during opening hours!
At this point you will have access to all of our Green designated equipment, and can complete the training for the Amber and Red designated equipment.
